Home inspector associations

ASHI and InterNACHI: the standards and credentials behind most U.S. home inspectors.

Last updated: 2026-10-20

We do not score home warranty companies or inspector associations. Whether a plan pays depends on the contract and the claim, which we cannot test. Listed alphabetically.

Some states license home inspectors, and ASHI’s membership rules require a state license where one is required. The associations add their own standards and credentials on top. Ask any inspector which Standard of Practice their report follows and check their license with your state board. ASHI.
