The local angle: AI tenants are back in the office market
What the firms’ own San Francisco pages say about this market. Market figures are each firm’s claim, not our measurement.
- JLL says technology and AI have made San Francisco one of the country’s most expensive office markets, with AI companies driving some of the strongest leasing activity in years. It names SoMa, the Financial District and the Peninsula’s tech campuses as separate tenant markets. (JLL San Francisco location page)
- Cushman & Wakefield says office employment has hit a record high above pre-pandemic levels and that San Francisco venture funding is the highest of any major U.S. city. Those are its claims. (Cushman & Wakefield San Francisco office page)
- CBRE traces its origins here: its page says Colbert Coldwell started a real estate company after the 1906 earthquake, and that company became CBRE. (CBRE San Francisco office page)
- Newmark’s Northern California business came from Cornish & Carey Commercial, which it joined in August 2014. (Newmark San Francisco office page)
